I Love My Church Family!
OK ... so ... ummm ... that was a weird week.
But one of the positives is yet another reminder of how much I love my church family.
All of you have been incredibly flexible on how to be and do church. I'm hearing of many of you reaching out to others, checking on them, offering to help, and praying together. Many of you have been open about what some of your needs are, which we are sometimes reluctant to do. And it was a joy to be "with" you all Sunday morning through technology. It's good to hear your voices.
Also, you've been good about encouraging feedback and good suggestions on how we can best be the church for this challenge in this time. I believe we're going to learn a lot about being church not only through unusual circumstances, but also beyond this challenge.
Your leadership team has done a ton of volunteer work over the last week behind the curtains, unnoticed, but crucial. You would have noticed if they didn't, so not being able to see their work is actually a testament to the work they've done above and beyond.
We're all learning as we go.
If there is any way that I can serve you more effectively, please let me know. I can't do everything, but I also don't trust my own imagination to be sufficient to know how to best be your pastor this week and next week and the weeks after. I'm here to serve, teach, challenge, and pray for you - so, put me to work!
